A popular TV actor, BOGDAN DUMITRACHE earned the critics’ recognition for his feature films.

Best known to the UK audiences for the main role in Child’s Pose directed by Calin Peter Netzer, Bogdan Dumitrache’s credits include: Traffic by Catalin Mitulescu, The Death of Mr. Lazarescu by Cristi Puiu, The Way I Spent the End of the World by Catalin Mitulescu, The Portrait of the Fighter as a Young Man by Constantin Popescu, When Evening Falls on Bucharest or Metabolism by Corneliu Porumboiu, and Best Intentions by Adrian Sitaru. The leading role in Best Intentions brought him the Golden Leopard for Best Actor at the 2011 Locarno International Film Festival.

Constantin Popescu’s third feature Pororoca won Best Actor for Bogdan Dumitrache at San Sebastian 2017.

Bogdan was born in May 1977, in Bucharest. He graduated from the "I.L. Caragiale" National University of Theatre and Film in 1999 and made his debut as an actor on the stage of the “Constantin Nottara” Theatre, in 2000, but quickly abandoned the theatre in favor of film.

He is also a popular TV actor and a casting director.
