Dragos Bucur is known to the UK audiences for his memorable parts in: Police, Adjective by Corneliu Porumboiu, The Paper Will Be Blue and Boogie by Radu Muntean, The Death of Mr. Lazarescu by Cristi Puiu. These are films which have benefitted from a wide UK distribution.

Born in June 1977 in Bucharest, he is a graduate of The National University of Theatre and Film "I.L. Caragiale". He started film acting in Stuff and Dough directed by Cristi Puiu and in The Rage directed by Radu Muntean, a role which brought him the Best Actor Award, granted by the Romanian Filmmakers Union. His credits include Film, Theatre and Television.

Dragos Bucur also received the Shooting Stars Award, the annual acting award for up-and-coming actors by European Film Promotion, at the Berlin International Film Festival 2010.

With Dorian Boguta and Alexandru Papadopol, he produced and played in the feature film Love Building by Iulia Rugina.
