Maria Dragus came into the international spotlight with her supporting role in award-winning drama THE WHITE RIBBON

Maria Dragus, who trained as a classical dancer, came into the international spotlight with her supporting role in Michael Haneke’s award-winning drama THE WHITE RIBBON. For her performance in this film, she won the German Film Award in 2010 as Best Supporting Actress. This auspicious film debut was followed by roles in Andres Veiel's WHO IF NOT WE, as the female lead in Emily Atef's KILL ME, and in Friederike Jehn’s SUMMER OUTSIDE, all of which have won her critical acclaim.

Maria Dragus plays Eliza in GRADUATION
an 18 year old stellar pupil who has been offered a scholarship from a British university to study psychology after graduating from high school, conditional on top marks in her final exams. Eliza has a chance of getting out of Romania that her parents could only dream of, yet her unsuitable motorbike-riding boyfriend might drag her down.
