Romanian producer Anca Puiu of production house Mandragora was selected to take part in the European Film Promotion (EFP) programme PRODUCERS ON THE MOVE, now in its 14th year at the film festival in Cannes.
The group of former participants includes such internationally known and award-winning producers as Ada Solomon from Romania (Child's Pose), Bettina Brokemper from Germany (Bal), Louise Vesth from Denmark (Melancholia) and Siniša Juričić from Croatia (Sofia’s Last Ambulance).
Scheduled during the Cannes International Film Festival, the programme provides its participants with an additional visibility they get at this melting pot for filmmakers, sales agents, financiers and the international media.

Anca Puiu
In 2004, Anca Puiu founded the production house Mandragora with her husband, film-maker Cristi Puiu, making their debut with his award-winning feature The Death of Mr. Lazarescu. She has since produced further sucessful films by Puiu as well as Marian Crisan (Morgen and Rocker), Peter Kerek (Adultery), Andrei Cohn (Family Pictures) and documentaries by Ana Vlad and Adi Voicu (Metrobranding, Victoria). Anca has new projects in development by Cristi Puiu and Peter Kerek, and two documentaries by Ana Vlad and Adi Voicu.
